Moving on

So it's 2:40am and I cannot sleep so I decided to blog about what is on my mind. We are really excited for some things that are coming up in the near future. Sean has one final and one presentation to give on Monday night and then the very next day, the 16Th, we are picking up our penske truck and packing up the apartment to be on our way to California. We have vowed that we will never live in Utah again. It has been nice for school, but there has to be an end. Brooke finished her last day at PF Chang's on Thursday and was super excited to say the least. She has also vowed to never wait tables again. It is time to move onto bigger and better things in life. Sean landed a job in San Marcos, CA doing short sale negotiations with a friend of Danny DeBeikes (Brooke's brother). Sean is way excited because this will open up many doors for him in the real estate world. This is basically his dream job, working in real estate, getting paid a base salary and commission on top of that. The best part about the job is not the income potential but that he is really interested in the subject matter and loves learning whatever he can about real estate. Sean hopes that this job will be long term as he does not like to change jobs very often. He does not mind changing responsibilities but he would rather stay with the same company for as long as he can. The first thing we will start doing when we have some income is to start making a better savings account than what we currently have. We will be saving a lot of money because we will be living with Brookes parents. We are both excited to be around family again. This is also an exciting time of year because Christmas is around the corner and that means more time with family and the opportunity to give to others.

Winter is coming

Winter is almost here. We got some snow in the mountains today and last night, looks beautiful. Since the weather is cold, Sean does not ride his motorcycle as much. Brooke has been recovering from gallbladder surgery for the past three weeks. She has endured a lot of pain and discomfort over the past few weeks but has been a good sport and strong in her recovery. Tomorrow she goes back to work at PF Chang's, she is not looking forward to the pain that may await her. We just got back from a little trip to CA where Sean had some interviews and was planning on going to a job fair but when he showed up at the hotel, it was cancelled. The weather was great down there but it was nice to get back to Utah where fall is real. We love the change of seasons here in Utah, but we can't wait to move back to California. Sean has senioritous but he keeps at it and will finish in December. So far he is passing all of his classes. Brooke is excited to live with her family in San Marcos, CA where she will get to cook and clean for the family. Two things that she loves doing. She will also be close to family which will be nice. Sean has two interviews the week of Thanksgiving. One with a real estate company doing short sale negotiations and the other with Patterson Dental which sells dental supplies. He does not know which one he wants more, there is a lot to consider....

Outside the Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake

The Roof Restaurant

We ate dinner at the Roof Restaurant in Salt Lake. It was an amazing buffet with the best dessert!!

A year later...

We spent our anniversary in Salt Lake at the Anniversary Inn. The theme of our room was Italy and we slept in a gondola.

Trip to Montana

We went to Montana this past spring to see the Carey Underwood concert and to see the Spitzer family. We had a lot of fun seeing the beautiful outdoors
